Happier day…

Work went smoothly…ALL my work is done so just maybe I can sneak out and spend some alone time with Geno since the kids will still be in school/daycare.

Today we cleaned the upstairs…we packed 3 BOXES of clothes that were to small for Xavier. Cleaned his room, cleaned the bathrooms(except the tub, that’s Geno tomorrow), and even our room.  Derrick’s room got rearranged also!

I was also finally able to take some pictures of the house since we’ve decorated for Christmas…

Our tree…

Same tree…Derrick liked this picture better then the one above so I’ve included it also… IMG_0131

And the front of our house…

Maybe next year we will decorate the top part of the house but for now since I will be taking them down the bottom part is just fine.

Well, I’m off to bed…goodnight everyone!

In Memory of…

Isis….

This morning we woke up and as I was getting her food ready I realized that I didn’t see her anywhere. I went into the laundry room and she had passed sometime during the night. It was heartbreaking for Geno and I since she was such a loving cat.  The vet believes the treatment came to late for her body to fully recover - we did try to get her in on Saturday, however, they didn’t have any appointments open and the tech did not seem to make a big deal about it.  Unfortunately, it was a big deal and Isis went to be with her brother.  She will be missed. We do not plan on getting anymore pets until Geno returns.  Then we will see about getting a dog and maybe another kitten.

Crazy just doesn’t begin to describe…

We went shopping all day on Saturday after Geno got home.  Then on Sunday we went to get Christmas decorations.  We also bought a Christmas tree. It’s artificial but it’s really nice. We decorated it last night and Geno put the final touch - an angel.  I’ll post some pictures of it tomorrow once the rest of the pictures are taken. The rest of our house lights are up, except for some iscle type lights that will hopefully go up tomorrow.

Xavier had his first ride on a carousel. He liked it for a few minutes, then he was done.  We were still able to get a few good pictures before things went south :-)

Today was a hectic day as well. Isis(Geno’s kitten) hadn’t been eating well since we returned from Ohio. Well we took her into the vets and she has liver failure.  Luckily it was caught before to much damage was done. So Isis has a NG tube(a tube that goes through her nose to her stomach) and we have to force feed her. Here are a few pictures of her…

Well, off to get the kids ready for bed.  I’ll try to post pictures of the decorations and house tomorrow.  Nighty night!

It’s Saturday…

and Geno is working!!  It really stinks.  This could possibly be the last Saturday that he’s here and he’s working.  Apparently the profis(not sure on the spelling) doctors (these are doctors that come from different units thata will be going overseas with Geno’s unit). Anyway, these doctors waited until this week to decide they needed to qualify with their 9mm weapons.  So today Derrick is going to help me do a laundry list of chores and errands. Hopefully, Geno get’s home early enough so that we can go Christmas shopping (gifts and decorations).  I can’t believe this will be the first time I’ve had decorations up in well over 5 years(in my own place).  Sadly, Geno probably won’t be here for this Christmas BUT next year we will spend it together in a house decorated and it will be the first time in our marriage :-)

I’m all caught up at work - even the filing!  So if Geno leaves next week or the week after then I can take a day off and not worry about work that needs to be done.

Well, off to work I go….DERRICK, grab the vacuum !!
