I must apologize for the delay in writing an update. It’s been such a crazy few weeks and now that Geno started his 30 day leave things will hopefully be MUCH more relaxed (key word: hopefully). Geno arrived safely on March 1st. He had a 21 day stand down which means 2 weeks of briefings… Pretty much classes that talk about drug, alcohol, spouse and child abuse.  This past week they did absolutely nothing…even cleaned their weapons TWICE…lol  Now he’s all ours the next 30 days!  We don’t plan on going anywhere to far. The only planned trip is Mrytle Beach in April for Xavier’s birthday. We paid for it last year and thought this would be a good time to go.

Derrick started his spring break dealing with strep throat. So he’s on bed rest until tomorrow while the medicine starts working.  Poor kid, this is the second time this year that he’s had strep. Geno and I are going to talk to his doctor when he goes in for his yearly physical about getting his tonsils and adnoids taken out (like Xavier had last year). 

Speaking of Xavier… he’s doing really well.  The teachers at daycare say that he is ready for the next room up once he’s potty trained.  We’ve tried on and off but so far he has a few good days followed by a trend of bad days. He’s getting so big… we had to go shopping for new clothes when his 3T jeans became to tight! So believe it or not he’s in 4T now which is just crazy!  He is a tall kid.  We took a rough measurement while doing Derrick’s room and he was about 38in tall. He likes to get on the scale and see how “big” he’s getting.  Last time he got on he was a little over 35lbs.   He says the funniest things and it’s great to teach him new phrases… like “whatever”, “ride’em cowboy”, and “not yet”.  On days he doesn’t want to go to daycare he tells me the whole ride over that “daycare is closed mommy”. 

Well, sorry this is so short but bathtime is almost over and we’ve got to get the little one to bed.  I just heard Xavier throw a soaking wet washcloth at Geno. Here are a few pictures (more pictures on the flickr account)…
