Fall semester is done!
Finally it has calmed down enough to write a quick update on here. This semester was long and hard but I got through it…in fact, I got through it with a 4.0! I took Microbiology, BioChemistry, English 111, Speech and Psychology. Now I have to wait until my birthday, January 12th, until Spring semester starts. Next semester I am taking Introduction to Business, Spreadsheet, Medical Terminology and Principles of Financial Accounting. If you are wondering I have changed my school curriculum from Dental Hygiene to Healthcare Administration (at least for now). This way I can continue to go to school while overseas in Italy. I will continue with Dental Hygiene once we get back stateside.
Now for the boys…
Derrick
Derrick is doing well. He’s playing basketball for his school. The team isn’t doing well this season but Derrick is playing well. School is going ok. We’ve had to pay special attention to his classwork lately. He hasn’t been turning in his homework on time and has been procrastinating on school projects. Other then that he’s doing well and has promised to be more deligent in doing his work and handing it in on time.
Xavier
Xavier has been doing quite well also. He started to trace his name and other letters but he’s still having trouble identifying letters and numbers. So even though he knows it’s his name he still hasn’t learned how to spell it. He’s been talking a lot about moving to Italy. He’s told me a list of toys and stuff that he wants to bring. If he happens to get a new movie/toy he asks “Can this go to Italy with me?” I think it’s adorable.
Geno
Geno is doing well. I’ve included some pictures from his reinlistment this past week. He had to reinlist for 3 years and then extend for 6 months so that we are eligible to go to Italy. If he didn’t reinlist his old contract would have been up before our time in Italy was up and that is a “no-no”. So as it stands, if he doesn’t choose to reinlist, his seperation date is 5/12/2012. However, we have already started making plans about what/where the next reinlistment could possibly send us.
Tomorrow the boys are getting their Christmas pictures taken by our neighbor, Tanya. I’m really looking forward to it, plus I need to get the Christmas cards out. We have put the Christmas tree up and the lights up on the house so I will try to get pictures of them up sometime this week.
I’m really looking forward to Christmas this year. Our family hasn’t had a Christmas at our house since we’ve been married. Actually, I take that back, when I was pregnant with Xavier we had Christmas but he left a few days later for his first tour in Iraq so it was bittersweet.
Ok, well I know this was short and sweet but I need to start getting ready for dinner. Geno is working this weekend but should be home shortly.
