Well I am happy to announce that Geno and I are expecting our 3rd child in October.  We are quite surprised that it happened so fast.  However, it couldn’t have worked out any better.  It turns out that there is a rumor going around that Geno’s new unit in Italy is scheduled for deployment in October.  We are excited and have begun running through names, however, nothing will be set in stone until the birth.  We have decided not to find out the sex of the little one this time around as this will probably be our last.  My first appointment is on Feb. 10th and it will be a simple consultation and ob registration.  Lots of blood will be taken and basic medical history.  For those of you wondering, I am not having ANY symptoms, however, I know I am still very early into this journey.

The boys both had very different reactions, as they should since they are two totally different kids.  Derrick is bummed in his own teenage way since it is due a month before his birthday and will lower his Christmas loot, hahaha!  Xavier, on the other hand, couldn’t be more excited and wants to see the baby NOW!  I’ve had to explain to him how little the baby is and that he will have to wait until after we get to Italy for the baby to be born. He has asked the questions, how did the baby get there and how will it get out - the kid is smart.  We answered them the best way we knew how, since he repeats everything and didn’t want him going to preschool educating all the kids there.  The whole daycare knew by the end of the day last week that I was expecting from Xavier.

Besides that big news, yes, I think it’s pretty big news, everything is going well.  I’m headed into my 4th week of classes and I am just hoping it flies by because I just want to concentrate on getting the house packed up.  I’m ready to leave Fort Bragg and get settled in Italy.  IWe’re very anxious, but in a good way.
