Hello from Fort Bragg

Well the last couple weeks have flown by. School is doing well, 2 weeks down, 5 to go.  It is a little difficult, especially since our move to Italy is getting so close.  I think we have about 14 weeks left or something like that.

Last week was a short week for all of use.  We woke up Tuesday morning to this:

I should remind everyone that North Carolina DOES NOT get snow.  In fact the last time we had snow like this was our first year down here in 2004.  The whole city shut down and school was cancelled for 2 days. Tuesday our high was in the 20’s and then yesterday(Friday) we were in the upper 50’s to 60 degrees! Lol The boys had fun as you can see.

Derrick is doing well. They only have 4 more games in his basketball season. They have yet to win again, but it’s not for the lack of trying, it’s for the lack on coaching. The coach is aweful. Last Thursday Derrick scored 4 of the 17 points and he was taken out shortly after scoring the points.  I think he played, possibly 5 minutes in the WHOLE game. They lost 17 to 52.

Xavier is doing well. he has decided he doesn’t want to go to Italy because he can’t bring any of his friends with him. I had to explain to him that he is going to make NEW friends over in Italy. He seemed ok with that.

Geno is doing well. He’s getting ready to go to the board the first week in February.  His replacement has also arrived to Fort Bragg. The guy coming in is from the same base as we are going to, how funny is that!

Well, that’s about it for now… Here are some more pictures from the snow…
