I couldn’t think of a catchy title today…sorry.
Well, Geno has left for Afghanistan. He left Early Wednesday morning andwas stuck in Northern Italy waiting for one thing or another to fly out. They ended up leaving Friday and arrived at their destination later that evening. He had to leave a lot earlier then we were told and in the end it was a rush to get things organized. I have his mailing address, though I can’t post it on here. If you would like his mailing address please email me, call me or leave a message here and I will forward it to you. I haven’t talked to him since Thursday morning, owever, I’m hoping to sometime within the next few days. It’s really hard for him to contact me in the beginning when he’s getting settled.
Peyton had her 2 month Well-Baby on Wednesday. They weighed her and had her losing weight so the pediatrician weighed her again on a more reliable scale and luckily she had gained. Right now she is 10lbs 1oz and 23in. She’s our “Little Peanut” as Geno and I call her. She’s gaining steadily but not nearly as fast as Xavier did. She is hitting her milestones though and has GREAT head control. Her favorite thing to do is lay on our chests and push herself up to look around. She is also in love with her swing. She usually takes her naps there in the daytime. I’ve tried to have her take them upstairs in her crib but for now the swing works much better (and longer) so that I can try to get things done around here.
Xavier and Derrick are taking their dad’s departure pretty well. For Derrick he’s a pro at this. For Xavier I don’t think he has the concept as to how long Geno’s going to be gone for. In fact, I’m sure he doesn’t. I think that after a few months it might start to sink in that his Daddy has been gone a while. I have ordered Xavier and Peytoneach a Daddy Doll. If you’re wondering, yes, I asked Derrick and he didn’t want one. We are also making monthly imprints of Peyton and Xavier’s hands. I may try to get Derrick to make one also a time or two.
We had a great Thanksgiving. We hosted it at our house this year and had about 26 people for dinner. The food was awesome and a good time was had by all! This year it looks like Christmas will also be held here at the Lolli house. I will be hosting it for any spouses in our unit’s FRG(Fanily Resource Group). Like Thanksgiving it will be a potluck so great food will be on the menu.
Well that is it for now…Peyton is about done chilling on my lap…
Here are a few pictures…

Peyton is beautiful and the boys are growing so fast! When you get a chance send me Geno’s address. I would like to drop him a line.
